CALLING ALL ARTISTS, ACTIVISTS, & ADVOCATES
Applicants do not need extensive experience. We are looking for folks who are passionate about anti-violence work, excited about using creative expression as a tool for social change, and interested in building new skills and relationships to better support and change the communities they live in and Virginia at large!
Applications will be open from February 1 - April 1, 2019 and decisions will be sent out no later than April 30, 2019. There are 20 fellowships available.
Travel stipends up to $300 are available to 10 fellows traveling 50 or more miles (one way) to the retreat in Richmond, VA. Fellows receiving a travel stipend must be 18 or older. More information on travel stipends and housing is available here.
This retreat is intended to center those who have been impacted (both personally and in their community) by sexual violence. We acknowledge that sexual violence disproportionately affects marginalized communities. We strongly encourage people of color, trans and non-binary people, and people who identify as queer, lesbian, gay, and/or bisexual to apply.
Application responses will be kept confidential and will be reviewed only by Action Alliance staff.
